Solve - 3(2y - 4) = -2(3y + 2) [by cross

multiplication]

= 6y - 12 = - 6y - 4

= 6y + 6y = -4 + 12

= 12y = 8

= y = 8/12

= y = 2/3

Hence, The value of y is 2/3.
