BQ⊥AC........GIVEN

∠CPA=90°............1

∠CQB=90°............2

∠CPA≅∠CQB.........from 1 and 2

∴ΔCPA~ΔCQB

In ΔABC

AP=7

BQ=8

BC=12

AC=?

∴AP/BQ=AC/BC

∴7/8=AC/12

∴AC= 12 x 7/8

∴AC=10.5
