Hey there,

SO WE ARE GIVEN :

Sides of two similar s are in ratio 5:6

WE NEED TO FIND :

Ratio Of Area Of These two ∆s.

SOLUTION : -

We know that if 2 s are similar, the ratio of their areas is equal to the ratio of the square of their corresponding sides.

 \frac{a}{b}  =  \frac{5}{6}

 \frac{area(∆1) }{area(∆2) }  = \frac{(a) {}^{2} }{(b) {}^{2} }   =  \frac{(5) {}^{2} }{(6) {}^{2} }  =  \frac{25}{36}

THUS, the ratio of the areas of the 2 similar s are 25:36

HOPE THIS HELPS

THANKS
