A horse is tied to a peg at one corner of a square shaped grass field of side 15 m by
means of a 5 m long rope.
Due to this, a horse can eat the grass only one particular corner of the field.

Find the area of the field.

(ii) 225 m2

Given,

Side of the square field,$\[l = 15m\]$

Length of rope,$\[r = 5m\]$

Solution,

Calculate the area of the field.

Field is in square shape.

Area of square$\[ = {l^2}\]$

$\[\begin{array}{l} = {15^2}\\ = 225{m^2}\end{array}\]$

Hence the area of square field is $\[225{m^2}\]$
