Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Area = 256m square, Height = 5m

and Length of a cold storage is double its breadth

So, Let breadth of a cold storage = x

∴ length of the cold storage = 2x Area of four walls = 256m square

2(l + b)× h = 256

⇒ 2 (x + 2x)×5 = 256

⇒ 10(3x) = 256

⇒ x = 256/30

⇒ x = 8.53

Breadth of a cold storage = 8.53m

and Length of a cold storage = 2×8.53 = 17.06m

Hence, Volume of the cold storage = l × b × h = 17.06 × 8.53× 5 = 727.89 m cube
