Given :- The monthly incomes of “7 graduates is Rs 8000, Rs.9000. Rs.8200. Rs.7900. Rs.8500. Rs. 8600 and Rs.6000.

To Find :-

  • The median income .

Answer :-

Arranging the income in ascending order = 6000, 7900, 8000, 8200, 8500, 8600, and 9000 = total 7 = odd number.

we know that,

  • when n = odd number , median = (n + 1)/2 th term .

so,

→ Median = (7 + 1)/2 th term = (8/2) = 4th term .

hence,

→ Median = Rs.8200 (Ans.)
