The ruler Maxmillian Rbespierrie put them into jail. One of the famous women activist of that time was olympe de gauges who was also sent to jail. The women of France finally got the right to vote in 1946.

Yes, women in France too took part in the French revolution in 1789. And after revolution year,they formed their political clubs.
