no. of round farmer completes in 2m 20s

= 2m 20s / 40s = 140 / 40 = 3.5 rounds

so the farmer completes 3.5 rounds

which mean displacement is the diagonal of square

so it forms a right triangle and displacement is the hypotnuese of truangle

by pythagoras theorem

h^2 = p^2 + b^2

h^2 = 10^2 + 10^2

h = (100 + 100)^1/2 = 200^1/2 = 10(2)^1/2
