Q.2 a train has just started from the platform and its speed is continuously increasing. A small box is seen from the train's frame. From this frame. (a) if the net real force on the box is zero, its acceleration must be zero. (b) if the net real force on the box is zero, its acceleration cannot be zero. (c) if the net real force on the box is not zero, its acceleration must be zero. (d) if the net real force on the box is not zero, its acceleration cannot be zero.

the answer is:

(a) if the net real force on the box is zero, it's acceleration must be zero.

this is because of the second law, which states that a net force on an object causes that object to move. Therefore, if there is no net force, there can not be velocity.

Acceleration(m/s^2)  a = F/m

a = acceleration

F = net force (N)

m = mass (kg)
