Q.2 Add the following integers
(i) -6 + (-2) (ii) 7 + (-11)

Note :

When you add integers , If ;

▪︎ Both the numbers have the same sign (take the case of first question, here both the numbers are negative , I.e, have the same sign). So , we will just add the numbers (here , 6+2=8) and then given their sign (here we will give the negative sign : (-8))

▪︎ If the signs are different (case of the second question , both the numbers have different signs) . In such a case we will find the difference of the numbers (here, 11-7 = 4) and give the sign of the bigger number (here , the bigger number is 11 , with a negative sign , so (-4) ).
