Fowler reached his hotel room to meet him considering him a spy. Fowler was disappointed. However, inside the room he found Max with pistol in his hand who had come to get some secret information from him. He dealt with Max very smartly and cleverly and got rid of him. He proved this fact that appearances can be deceptive. Ausable who looked fat and sloppy actually was a smart and master spy.
