  • The pool was safe as it was only three feet deep at the shallow end.
  • The eighteen year old bully boy threw Douglas into the deep end of the pool when no one was around.
  • He sank to the bottom and while going down he made a plan. He thought when he will reach the bottom of the pool he will jump, then lie flat and safely paddle to the edge of the pool.
  • He tried three times and the jump made no difference. He then blacked out but was later rescued.
