Answer:

b = 60cm

Given that ;

Perimeter of the Rectangle ( P ) = 3.2 m

Length of the Rectangle ( l ) = 100 cm

Breadth of the Rectangle ( b ) = ?

( 1 m = 100 cm )

Perimeter of the Rectangle ( P ) = 3.2 × 100

= 320 cm

Formula :

Perimeter of the Rectangle ( P ) = 2 ( l + b )

P = 2 ( 100 + b )

320 = 200 + 2b

320 - 200 = 2b

120 = 2b

120 / 2 = b

b = 60 cm

Hence ;

Breadth of the Rectangle ( b ) = 60 cm

( in cm )

Or

( in m )

Perimeter of the Rectangle = 3.2 m

Length of the Rectangle = 1m

( 1m = 100 cm )

Breadth = ?

Perimeter = 2 ( l + b )

3.2 = 2 ( 1 + b )

3.2 = 2 + 2b

3.2 - 2 = 2b

3 = 2b

b = 3 / 2

b = 1.5 m
