Q.2. Reema invited 26 people at home. Reema's mother made 26 Idlis for the people who are coming on Birthday Party and 2 Idlis more for her and Reema but 28 people came for the party. Reema and her mother decided to give their share of idlis to the guests. So, how many Idlis did they give and what value do you learn from Reema's family?​

Let the total number of puris be x, and the plates be y.

From the first given, if she places 4 puris in each plate, one plate would be missing. If we put these words into an equation:

x = 4(y-1) (1)

From the second given, if she places 3 puris in each plate, 1 puri will be given. If we put these words into an equation:

x=3y +1 (2)

From equations (1) and (2):

3y + 1 = 4y -4

y = 5

Therefore, the number of plates is 5.

Now solve for x:

x = 3y + 1 = 3(5) + 1 = 16.
