If a Quardratic roots have real and equal roots then

 {b}^{2}  - 4ac = 0

Here ,

a = 2 , b = -4 , c = p

 { - 4}^{2}  - 4(2)(p) = 0 \\ 16 - 8p = 0 \\  \implies - 8p =  - 16 \\ \implies \: p = 2

so option c is correct
