Q.2.Why acceleration due to gravity is taken as –g for any object thrown in upward direction?​

Explanation:

The acceleration is taken as -g as object thrown in upward direction. the gravitational force act in downward direction. It make a negative acceleration which is exactly equal to gravitational acceleration (g). Since, it is in opposite direction it is taken as negative of gravitational acceleration i.e. (-g). Also it reduces the velocity of the object.
