Q.2 Why does the light change its direction in the refractive medium in refraction on its oblique incidence? Does it

Any refraction that take place should follow the huygen's principle Always satisfying the equation μsinΘ = const

Hence on some certain angle in denser medium the light undergoes TIR phenomena. Hence it reverse its direction.

On perpendicular incidence since Θ = 0 the light will not suffer any change in its direction. So it do not change its direction.
