Explanation:

Respected Sir,

Ours is a reputed public school but a visit to the school library leaves an unpleasant and bitter taste. Suffocating atmosphere of the library is least conducive to studies. Reading room and the general section being in the same place create unnecessary noise. Shelves are not properly dusted. We generally find a book on Mathematics in the company of an English book. This romance is confusing. Reference books are never to be found on the shelf. It is told that they are with the teachers. Latest periodicals are missing.

Could we have reading room separated from the general section to create a peaceful atmosphere? Should not the teachers be reminded that the students also need books lying with them? Please streamline the functioning of the textbook section. Books from this section should not be issued to anyone. Is not it possible to recruit one or two more restorers to look after the general maintenance of the library? Above all, I humbly submit that we must have a library committee to supervise the day-to-day functioning of our library.

The students of this school would be highly indebted to you, sir, if these suggestions could be carried out as early as possible. We want our school library an envy for others.

Yours faithfully,
