Given : A driver accelerates his car first at the rate of 2.8 m/s² and then at the rate of 1.4 m/s².

To find : The ratio of two force exerted by the engine in two cases will be.

  • R_1 = Case (1)
  • R_2 = Case (2)

Calculations :

→ R_1/R_2

→ 2.8/1.4

→ 28/14

→ 2.0 N

Therefore, 2.0N is the ratio of two force exerted by the engine.
