mass of 5kg be to have its PE, equal in
value to the KE possessed by it when it
moves with a velocity of 20m/s? (Assume

Let height be h.

So, PE at that height =mgh

KE of the mass when moving with velocity 10 m/s=1/2 mv

PE=KE

mgh=1/2gv^2

Putting values we get:

10×h=50

h=5m
