In the Year 1971, Gandhi was shot dead and the Birla House was turned into a government-run ‘Gandhi museum’.

Answer: (c)

Explanation:

The Birla House in New Delhi is dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. It is also referred to as the Gandhi Smriti. It is the place where ‘Mahatma Gandhi’ spent most of his life and thereafter he was assassinated on ‘30th January 1948’.

The Birla House consisted of twelve bedrooms and was built by Ghanshyamdas Birla. It was Jawarharlal Nehru who requested Birla to convert the place into a museum for Gandhiji.
