Q.21 Represent √3 on a number line.

First draw number line and mark no.s from 0 to4 on it .

Then construct a line from 0 to 1name it AB and from 1 draw a line of the same measure as from 0 to 1(vertically) name it BC then join A and C

Take a campus and cut an arc on the number line taking AC as the radius and mark the point of intersection as D and mark it √2 .

Taking AD as the base draw a vertical line of measure AB from D name the end point E and join A and E and then taking AE as radius cut another arc on number line and mark it point F and it's measure is √3.

Remember that the point will always lie before 2 as it it equal to √4.
