THEORY

The transformer works on the principle of faradays law of electromagnetic induction and mutual induction. There are usually two coils, primary and secondary coil on the transformer core. the core laminations are joined in the form of strips.

LOSS

There are different types of losses which are iron loss, copper loss, hysteresis loss, eddy current loss, stray loss and dielectric loss. They can be reduced by increasing the number of laminations.
