Given :-

  • Selling price ( SP ) of fan = ₹ 649
  • Profile Percentage = 18%

To Find :-

  • Cost price (CP) ?

Solution :-

◆ We know that,

Cost price = 100 / 100 + profit % × SP

Now, Substitute the values :-

100 / 100+ 18 × 649

100 / 118 × 649

550

Hence, The cost price (CP) of fan is 550.

Given :-

  • Selling price, SP = ₹ 649
  • Profit percentage = 18%

To Find :-

  • Cost price, CP

Formula used :-

\boxed{\sf CP = \dfrac{100}{(100 + percentage \: profit)} \times SP}

Solution :-

Substituting the values -

\sf CP = \dfrac{100}{(100 + percentage \: profit)} \times SP

\sf CP = \dfrac{100}{100 + 18} \times 649

\sf CP = \dfrac{64900}{118}

\sf CP = 550

Cost price = ₹ 550
