d=mass\vol

vol=mass\density

which gives,

1620\8.1=200g

GIVEN :-

  • mass of substance ( m ) = 1620 g = 1.62 kg.
  • Density of substance ( ⍴ ) = 8.1 g/cm³ = 8100 kg/m³.

TO FIND :-

  • The volume of the substance ( v ).

SOLUTION :-

As we know that,

⇒ Density = mass/volume

⇒ ⍴ = m/v

⇒ 8100 kg/m³ = 1.62 kg/v

⇒ 8100 kg/m³ × v = 1.62 kg.

⇒ v8100 kg/m³ = 1.62 kg

⇒ v = 1.62 kg/8100 kg /m³

v = 0.0002 or v = 200 cm³.

Hence the volume of the substance is 0.0002 .
