The cold wind blew over my face. It somewhat made me feel better and I looked at the smashed phone in my hand, my eyes started brimming with tears but I held it back. There was no use crying because even if I did there was no one who would console me. I thought they were my friends, my family, my home but I was mistaken. They only adopted me because of the ongoing elections so that it would make them look kind in front of the public and therefore pocket from votes from them. But if they could see through the facade, they'd see how horrible kinds of people they were. Still I am glad I'm no longer in the orphanage and with a sigh I closed my eyes and felt the cold water hitting against my feet. And with that something shone from afar, I squinted my eyes to see better but I couldn't make out what it was. Finally after waiting for some time it made its way towards me. It was a sparkly bottle and when it came closer I could see that it was a beautiful Purple sparkly bottle. I grabbed it and looked closely at it. I could see something inside it. I opened the lid and saw there was a piece of paper inside. Curios as I was quickly took the paper out and looked at it, I gasped loudly when I saw what was written inside. In bold letters were written "YOU MATTER, LIKE A LOT. IF THERE IS NO ONE TO LOVE YOU, LOVE YOURSELF, BECAUSE YOU, YOURSELF ARE YOUR OWN SAVIOUR." I looked around and searched for a sign of a being other than me but found no on. I felt like this note was written for me. I read it once again and finally understood that there is always that one person who loves you, trusts you, cares about you. Look in the mirror that one person is you. I clasped the note against my chest and took it with me and decided to keep it forever as a reminder that loving yourself is very important.
