1)Atom - Atom is the smallest particle of an element.

2)Isotope- isotopes of a given element have the same number of protons but different numbers of neutrons in each atom.

3)Atomic number -The atomic number is the number of protons in the nucleus of an atom.

4)Atomic mass number-the total number of protons and neutrons in an atom.

1) Atom : the smallest particle of a chemical element that can exist.

2)Isotope : each of two or more forms of the same element that contain equal numbers of protons but different numbers of neutrons in their nuclei, and hence differ in relative atomic mass but not in chemical properties; in particular, a radioactive form of an element.

3) Atomic number : the number of protons in the nucleus of an atom, which is characteristic of a chemical element and determines its place in the periodic table.

4) Atomic Mass number : The atomic mass of a single atom is simply its total mass and is typically expressed in atomic mass units or amu. By definition, an atom of carbon with six neutrons, carbon-12, has an atomic mass of 12 amu.
