Given:

Kiran Purchased 5 kg apple, 5 kg 600 gm grapes, 3 kg 300 gm Mangoes.

To find:

What will be the total weight of fruits purchased by Kiran?

Solution:

We know,

\boxed{\bold{1 \:gm = 0.001 \:kg}}

We will convert each of the weight in terms of kg for easy calculation:

5 kg 600 gm = 5 kg + 0.6 kg = 5.6 kg

3 kg 300 gm =  3 kg + 0.3 kg = 3.3 kg

The weight of apples purchased = 5 kg

The weight of grapes purchased = 5.6 kg

The weight of mangoes purchased = 3.3 kg

∴ The total weight of the fruits purchased is

= 5 + 5.6 + 3.3

= 13.9 kg

= 13 kg + 0.9 kg

= 13 kg 900 gm

Thus, the total weight of fruits purchased by Kiran is → 13 kg 900 gm.
