Answer:

Average

Given:

1 kg ladyfinger costs rs.70

3 kg of potato costs rs.90

1 kg of bottle gourd costs rs.60

To find:

Cost of 1 kg potato and 1 kg bottle gourd.

Which vegetable and what quantity can be bought maximum with rs.200. Money left with her if she will buy more than one vegetable.

Weight of each vegetables that can be bought for which equal amount to be paid for any two vegetable, total amount paid for it.

Explanation:

Cost of 1 kg potato =\frac{90}{3}=rs.30390=rs.30

Cost of 1 kg bottle gourd= rs.60

1) Total cost of  1kg of potato and 1kg of bottle gourd =rs.30+rs.60=rs.90rs.30+rs.60=rs.90

2) total money= rs.200

for buying maximum quantity and at least 2 types of vegetable there are

  following cases possible,

2 kg ladyfinger worth rs.140 and 1 kg bottle gourd worth rs.60

in this case, she will have no money left.

2 kg bottle gourd worth rs.60 and 1 kg ladyfinger worth rs.70

in this case she will be left with rs.10.

2 kg potato worth rs.60 and 2 kg ladyfinger worth rs.140

in this case, she will have no money left.

   4 kg potato worth rs.120 and 1kg ladyfinger / bottle gourd worth     rs.70 / rs60 respectively.

in this case she will be left with rs.10 / rs.20 respectively..

2 kg potato worth rs.60, 1 kg ladyfinger worth rs.70 and 1 kg bottle   gourd worth rs.60 .

in this case she will be left with rs.10.

No other case is possible except when fractions of weight will be considered.

3) 2 kg of potato will have same amount as 1 kg of bottle gourd which is rs.60,

Total amount needed to be paid will be rs.120.
