3x−5y+1=0

x−y+1=0⇒y=x+1

Substitute y=x+1 in 3x−5y+1=0 we get

3x−5(x+1)+1=0

3x−5(x+1)+1=0

⇒3x−5x−5+1=0

⇒−2x−4=0

⇒−2x=4

⇒x=−2

∴x=−2

Substitute x=−2 in x−y+1=0 we get

−2−y+1=0

⇒−y−1=0

∴y=−1

Hence x=−2,y=−1
