Required length of rope = LCM of the lengths of rope necessary

 \underline{3 |9,12,15 } \\  \underline{ 3 | \: 3, \: 4, \: 5  \: } \\ \underline{ }

.°. LCM = 3 × 3 × 3 × 4 × 5 = 540

Hence,

  • It is concluded that 540 cm of rope is required to cut out pieces of 9 cm, 12 cm and 15 cm.
