 Compare \:given \: polynomial \: 2x^{2}-8x+6 \:with

 ax^{2}+bx+c \: , we \:get

 a = 2, b = -8 \:and \: c = 6

 Now, \blue{ Sum \:of \:the \: zeroes}

 = \frac{-b}{a}

 = \frac{-(-8)}{2}

 = \frac{8}{2}

 = 4

Therefore.,

 \red{ Sum \:of \:the \: zeroes} \green { = 4}

Sum of zeroes = 4 .

Given :-

  • 2x² - 8x + 6 = 0

To Find :-

  • Sum of zeroes = ?

Solution :-

On Compare given quadratic equation with ax² + bx + c = 0 . we get,

=> a = 2 , b = -8 , c = 6

Sum of zeroes = -b/a

=> Sum of zeroes = -(-8)/2

=> Sum of zeroes = 8/2

=> Sum of zeroes = 4 .
