2) When silver nitrate solution is added to sodium chloride solution, then a white precipitate of silver chloride is formed along with a sodium nitrate solution. (b) It is a double displacement reaction as an exchange of ions takes place in this reaction.

3) When sodium hydroxide is added to ferric chloride solution, a reddish brown precipitate is formed

4)Copper metal is more reactive than silver metal thus, when copper rod is kept immersed in silver nitrate solution for some time, it displaces silver from silver nitrate solution and the grey solid crystal of Ag metal are seen growing on the copper rod and the solution turns blue in colour.

5) when chlorine is added in sodium bromide solution ,the chlorine takes place of the bromide. Because chlorine is more important than bromide,it desplaced bromide from sodium bromide. Than the solution turns brown.
