3 ( x + 4 ) - 2 ( x + 3 ) = 3 ( x - 4 )

3x + 12 - 2 ( x + 3 ) = 3 ( x - 4 )

3x + 12 - 2x - 6 = 3 ( x - 4 )

x + 12 - 6 = 3 ( x - 4 )

x + 6 = 3 ( x - 4 )

x + 6 = 3x - 12

x + 6 - 3x = - 12

- 2x + 6 = - 12

- 2x = - 12 - 6

- 2x = - 18

x = - 18 / - 2

x = 9
