2. Two tungsten bulbs of wattage 100 W and 60 W power work on 220 V potential
difference. if they are connected in parallel, how much current will flow in the main
conductor?

Answer:

potential are same in resistor when they are connected in parallel

so now for 1st bulb

power= 100w

potential= 220v

so as we know power=potential x current

so here current =100/220

which gives u 0.45

now for second bulb

power = 60 w

potential= 220v

so again power=potential x current

current = 60/220

so it will be 0.27

now add 0.45 A and 0.27 A which gives u required ans is 0.72 ampere
