Given :- Cameron covered a certain distance at 108 kmph and returned back at 20 m/s.

To Find :- Average speed (in m/s) for the entire journey.

A. 18

B. 24

C. 32

D. 25

Solution :-

→ Going speed of cameron = 108 km/h = 108 * (5/18) = 30 m/s

→ Returning speed of cameron = 20 m/s .

So,

→ Average speed = (2 * S1 * S2)/(S1 + S2) where S1 and S2 are two speeds .

then,

→ Average speed = (2 * 30 * 20)/(20 + 30)

→ Average speed = (2 * 30 * 20)/50

→ Average speed = 24 m/s .

Hence, cameron average speed for the entire journey is equal to (B) 24 m/s .
