10 pipes = 2 hours 30 minutes = 2.5 hours

15 pipes = x

inverse variation

x_{1} : x_{2} :: y_{2} : y_{1}

=> 10 : 15 :: x : 2.5

=> 15 x = 2.5 × 10

=> 15 x = 25

=> x = 25/15

=> x = 1.6

Therefore, the time taken for 15 pipes is 1.6 hours
