India is divided into two equal halves by a latitude called the Tropic of Cancer resulting in the North and South of India.
- The Eastern Himalayas is also known as Purvachal mountains comprises hill ranges like Patkai, Barail, Manipur, Mizo, and Naga hills.
- The Punjab plain is known for its large deposition of alluvial soil in eastern Pakistan and Northwest India.
- The Western Ghats is parallel to the western coast located in the states of Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.
- Sikkim is a state situated in the northeastern part of India. It is bordered by Bhutan, Tibet, and Nepal, the neighboring countries of India.
- Narmada river is also called Reva. This river flows in states like Madhya Pradesh and Gujurat. It is the 5th longest river in India.
