Q-4 Answer the following questions.

1) A truck that is stopped on the road has to be pushed hard to get into motion.

When the truck is moving a little, it can be moved faster with a smaller /less push. Why?

2) The shape of an aeroplane is not kept the same as the shape of the bus. Why?​

Answer:

1) it cannot move because the mass of the truck might be much more than the force

2) because the wings of the aeroplane helps it to balance its weight and to fly .

The energy needed to push an object which is in rest is required more as compared to moving object. This is the reason that a truck that is stopped on the road has to be pushes hard to get into motion whereas a truck already moving a little can be moved faster with a smaller/less push.

The shape of the airplane is what allows it to cut through the air to go really fast. And airplanes NEED to go fast (you cant go up if you don't travel fast enough!).Buses, on the other hand, don't need to go fast (in fact they’re much more suited to travel slow). Thus they can design the shape of a bus to best suit passenger convenience and hence the boxy shape.
