Q.4.B. Read the following passage and write a summary of it. Suggest a suitable title:
(5)
It is practically impossible for a well-educated, intellectual or brave man to make money the chief object of his
thoughts just as it is not possible for him to make his dinner his chief objective. All healthy-minded people like dinners,
but their dinner is not the main objective of their lives. So all healthy minded people love to make money and that
they should, but the feeling of being worthy of the money is better than the money itself.
For example, a good soldier mainly wishes to do his fighting well. He is glad of his pay, properly so and would
complain constantly when you keep him away from it for ten years. Nonetheless, his main mission of his life is to win
battles, not to be paid for winning them. The same is for priests. The priest's chief objective is to preach, not to be paid
for preaching. And the same goes for doctors. They like fees – no doubt, and they should, yet if they are brave and
intellectual, the entire goal of their life would not be fees. They desire to cure the sick, and if they are good doctors,
would choose to cure a patient and lose their money rather than kill him and get it. The same goes for all the brave
and rightly trained men; their work is first, their fee second. It is always important but still the second.
