Hey!
1. Assertive sentence: This is a type of sentence which asserts (declares) a statement, opinion or thought. It ends with a period (.).
- For example, Andy is reading a book.
This is a sentence which simply declares that Andy is reading a book.
2. Adjective of quality: It refers to the type or the quality of something. Or in other words, it describes the quality of something.
- For example, It was a great book.
Here, great is the adjective and book is the noun. Since the adjective great describes how good the book was, or in other words, describes the quality of the book, it is called the Adjective of quality.
3. Personal pronoun: They are used for a particular person (or animal) in our sentence.
- For example, Andy is my brother. He is reading a book.
Notice that I've underlined He. It's a pronoun that I've used to refer to a person called Andy. Thus it is called as a personal pronoun. Now, if I said - Andy is my brother. Andy is reading a book, it would sound odd because I'm using his name twice. In order to avoid that, we use personal pronouns like he, she, it, us, we, they, etc.
I hoped this helped you!!
Cheers ✌️
