Given, lb=150.........(i)

Also give, 2(l+b)=50

l+b=25

l=25−b ....(ii)

Substituting this value of l in eqn. (i), we get

(25−b)(b)=150

b2−25b+150=0

∴b=15 cm, 10 cm

∴ when b=15cm, l=10cm and when b=10cm, then l=15cm.

∴ dimensions of the rectangle are 10,15
