the number of proton and number of electron are same so charges of electron and charge of proton are same so that the atom is neutral

Explanation:

  • An atom is made up of neutrons, electrons, and protons.
  • Neutrons are neutral in nature.
  • Atom has negatively charged electrons and positively charged protons and the number of protons is equal to the number of electrons.
  • Hence the overall charge of the atom is zero and the atom consider as a neutral species.
