Q.4. How many grams of Cl2 is produced from 15.8g of KMnO4 and 50mL of 10 M HCl according to the reaction 2 KMnO4 + 16 HCl  2 KCl + 2 MnCl2 + 8 H2O + 5 Cl2

heya....

Molecular Weight of KMno4=158 gms (1 mole)
Given Weight = 15.8 gms => 0.1 mole

2 moles of KMno4 gives 5 moles of Cl2
Then, 0.1 moles of KMno4 gives = x moles (say)
x = 0.1*5/2 = 0.25 moles of Cl2

One mole of Cl2 weighs 71 gms
0.25 moles weighs 17.75 gms

Hey mate!

Here's your answer!!

2 moles of KMno4 gives 5 moles of Cl2

Then, 0.1 moles of KMno4 gives = x moles (say)
x = 0.1 × 5/2
x = 0.25 moles of Cl2

One mole of Cl2 weighs 71 gms
0.25 moles weighs 17.75 gms.

hope \: it \: helps \: you.
