(a+b)²=(10)²

(a+b)²-(a-b)²=4ab

100-4ab=(a-b)²

100-8=(a-b)²

92=(a-b)²

Step-by-step explanation:

(a-b)²=a²+b²-2ab

it is given that a+b=10

(a+b)²=a²+b²+2ab

(10)²=a²+b²+2(2)

100=a²+b²+4

96=a²+b²

substitute a²+b² value in above formulae

(a-b)²=96-2(2)

=96-4

=92
