Tenzing and Norgay managed to accomplish the historic feat through teamwork and mutual support. I can think of one incident when I had to work in a team. The incident is written below:
During independence day celebration, we were all enjoying the activities displayed on the stage. Flag hoisting, national anthem, patriotic songs, dance, cultural activities, all came to an end. We thought this is it.
Suddenly, our principal announced on the stage that a class decoration activity is to be performed. Now, this came as a complete surprise to us. Then, he further announced that the time limit is only one hour. Just one hour!
The materials were there on the playground and we had to collect them and take them to our respective classrooms. Hustle and bustle can be noticed everywhere. Students were yelling and a rush can be found on our ground.
We firstly planned out what all materials we are going to use for decoration.
After then, five of us went to collect the materials while two students went to the registration desk to make the entry of materials collected by us since we were already aware of what all will we be needing.
Five students started the cleaning of classroom, from which three were cleaning the desks. Two started drawing on the blackboard. Five students started rangoli. Another five began the cleaning of windows and doors. The remaining students started discussion on what things are to be hung where.
As soon as we came with the materials, we also joined in accomplishing the tasks. We finished the decoration in fifty-five minutes! And the decoration came out really well.
Then only did we realize the importance of teamwork. Also, we were very happy that our class monitor divided the work between us and also monitored if anyone was facing any issue. Our teamwork was a success.
Note-
Teamwork makes the work easier and effective. However, mutual understanding and effective leadership is necessary. Without these, teamwork will reduce the efficiency instead of improving it.
