a)The gases diffuse through the tube. When they meet they react, forming a white cloud of ammonium chloride the product.

b)It took some time for the gases to diffuse and actually meet and react.

c)HCl is a gas with a higher molecular mass(heavier) than ammonia meaning it is slower than ammonia even with the same kinetic energy. So the HCl travelled just a little distance and ammonia travelled till near the end of the tube
