Answer :

We have,

  • The length and breadth of a rectangle in the ratio 3:1
  • The perimater is 48 cm.

To do,

  • Find the length and breadth of
  • rectangle.

Step by Step Explanation :

Let

  • The length be 3x
  • The breadth be 1x

Formula for perimeter of Rectangle

\large{\boxed{\sf{Perimeter\; of \;Rectangle= 2( l + b )}}}

Put values in formula,

{\sf{Perimeter\; of \;Rectangle= 2( l + b )}}

{\sf{48= 2( 3x + 1x )}}

{\sf{48= 2( 4x )}}

{\sf{48= 8x }}

{\sf{\cancel{\dfrac{48}{8}}= x }}

6 = x
