Given :- Two sides of a rectangle differ by 3.5 cm. Find the dimensions of rectangle if its perimeter is 67 cm.

Answer :-

Let shorter side is breadth and its length is x cm .

so,

→ Length is = (x + 3.5) cm .

then,

→ Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)

A/q,

→ 2(x + 3.5 + x) = 67

→ 2(2x + 3.5) = 67

→ 4x + 7 = 67

→ 4x = 67 - 7

→ 4x = 60

→ x = 15 .

therefore,

  • Breadth of rectangle = x = 15 cm.
  • Length of rectangle = (x + 3.5) = 15 + 3.5 = 18.5 cm .
