An Operating system is an interface between user and the hardware.It Is a system software.
A hardware is useless without an operating system.E.g Linux ,Windows,DOS etc
Types of operating system:
1.Single User OS- It allows one single person at a time.
2.Multi user os - It allows multiple user to operate at same or different time.
